Over the years, her vision has guided KAS to become a brand recognised for creativity, quality and timeless style. In her own words, Karen reflects on her journey building a design brand and the lessons she has learned along the way.

What has it meant to you to build and lead a design brand as a woman?

"Building and leading a design brand as a woman has been incredibly meaningful to me. I am deeply proud of how we have grown the brand and where it stands today.It has taken hard work, resilience and genuine passion to build something that truly reflects my vision. Seeing the brand evolve and establish itself in the market is something I value tremendously."

What challenges have shaped you most in your journey, and what have you learnt from them?

"One of the biggest challenges has been staying ahead of the market. Bringing the most up-to-date designs to life requires constant research, creativity and a willingness to evolve.Over time I’ve learned that great design alone isn’t enough — quality, pricing and competitiveness are just as important. Understanding the business side of things has been an even bigger challenge than design itself, but it has pushed me to become more versatile and adaptable.Through this journey, I’ve learned the importance of resilience, adaptability and continuously evolving with the industry".

What advice would you give to the next generation of women who want to create something of their own?

"Know your market and value your quality. Do your research and understand the space you’re entering.The future belongs to women who believe in their ideas enough to build them. Trust yourself, invest in your growth and create something that truly reflects your vision.
